Domaine des Faures is a secluded country estate situated in the Dordogne area of SW France. Once a prestigious bastide (or walled) farm and now being carefully renovated. The manor house provides either luxury B&B or self-catering accommodation in a beautiful location not far from the Dordogne valley and the historic towns of Bergerac, Domme and Sarlat. The manor is situated not too far from the local facilities with a footpath from the manor to Monpazier which is claimed to be on the Compostela Way. For those who enjoy walking Chateau Biron is a very pleasant stroll.

The manor, dated 1673 and steeped in history, has been completely renovated in the traditional style while providing every comfort required by the discerning guest. The emphasis is on quality and luxury with geothermal heating and log fires for the cooler months and ceiling fans for the warmer. Available all year either as bed and breakfast or a holiday rental it is perfectly situated for visiting wine chateaux and enjoying the local gourmet foods or enjoying a more active holiday.

Situated in its own organic 100 acre farm, with wonderful views to the beautiful historic bastide town of Monpazier and nearby Chateau Biron, this large country house has delightful gardens where you can relax and a private heated swimming pool, the heated swimming pool being in its own secure garden.

 

 

 

 

 

The Dordogne area of France is famed for its beautiful villages, chateaux and dramatic countryside which offer endless opportunities for both artistic and sporting activities and your hosts are always willing to offer suggestions or organise outings should you wish.

There are numerous excellent restaurants in the area but should you wish to remain at Les Faures and enjoy an evening meal with wine while watching the sun set your hosts will happily cook for you using fresh local produce, but notice is required.
