With the days drawing out it’s back to breakfast watching the glorious sunrise. Each dawn brings a new sight with the colours ever changing. Somehow it brings a feeling of well-being before starting the day’s work.

We actually awoke to snow the other morning which is not a common occurrence here. Our normal peace was even more silent as the birds had obviously decided to stay in their nests. It didn’t last long before the sun reappeared but was fun while it lasted.
Villages in Winter

On a clear bright day in winter one of our favourite things to do is to continue to explore the quaint and picturesque villages in the area. Although they are no longer festooned with flowers they still exude a wonderful and peaceful atmosphere and there is time and space to enjoy the architecture .
