Every year we celebrate in Monpazier with a medieval festival. Monpazier was built by the English King Edward 1st and so is steeped in history. It is considered one of the best preserved bastide villages and is indeed very special. This year they have decided to add to the publicity with a ‘castle’ which can be viewed from the road leading to the village. I should imagine they had great fun building it.
