Ringing the Bell

The ancient bell on the front of our manor house was once used to set the rhythm for the dayfor the estate workers. One ring meant the start of day, two rings was the call for lunch, and three marked the end of day. We haven’t re-attached the chain in case young visitors decide it’s too tempting to keep ringing it!
