We have been busy since Christmas making sure all is in good condition at Les Faures for our guests who begin arriving this week. The ‘petit tour’ has at long last regained it’s roof and looks very proud of its fleur de lys sitting on top. The sun has shone, buds on the plants swelling and lambs can be seen in the fields. We’re back to almost 12 hours of daylight which is great for being able to get out and about. Spring is definitely in the air.

This morning was the annual ‘wood festival’ in Monpazier. Wood turning, marquetry and wood carving are extremely popular in this region and the famed wood toadstools can be found on several roundabouts as part of the landscape design.
